The Real Story: Why Marketing Wasn't the Problem
When Medisafe first reached out to Clearstart, they were looking for a traditional marketing engagement. They had a world-class product, a decade of deep technical credibility, and millions of active users on their platform.
But growth had hit a plateau.
When our team got under the hood, we realized very quickly that running more marketing campaigns or spending more top-of-funnel ad dollars wasn't going to fix the issue. Medisafe didn't have a marketing execution problem; they had a Go-To-Market and positioning problem.
They were stuck in a cycle of selling low-tier, feature-heavy deals (like push notifications and medication reminders). Their sales team was walking into meetings talking to brand managers and patient coordinators. These buyers loved the app, but they lacked the budget or executive authority to sign enterprise-wide deals.
Because their messaging sounded like a tactical utility tool and their visual identity looked consumer-focused, pharma executives didn't see them as an enterprise platform. Medisafe was being forced to discount heavily just to close deals, leaving millions on the table.
Before touching a single ad campaign or pixel of design, we had to reset the strategic foundation.
